Program: The Joys and Sorrows of a New Consultant
At the end of March 2019, Joseph Barone left The World Bank after almost 28 years. Too young to collect his pension, but with a wealth of knowledge and experience that working for an international organization brings, he decided to “hang out his shingle” and become a consultant. Being a consultant is easier said than done.
Joseph will discuss the things, which you need to carefully consider before you take the plunge. In addition, he will interweave these considerations with the things that he did right, the things that he could have done better, and the things that he really did poorly at, in his journey as a new consultant.
Donations: We will again be collecting winter clothing items at our February meeting for disadvantaged families in our community. This will be your last chance to donate this year. Please bring new or very gently used gloves, mittens, hats, scarves and socks to donate. Items are needed for all ages. Our fall canned food collection was very successful, and we hope to be just as generous with our winter clothing drive!
Menu: Dinner will consist of House Salad; your choice of: Cheese Manicotti, Chicken Parmigiana, Eggplant Parmigiana (Served w/ Pasta or Vegetables), Gnocchi w/ Marinara, or Meat Lasagna; and soft drinks, tea and coffee. A cash bar is available.
Reservations Required: Please RSVP by 5:00 PM Monday, February 10, 2020, by responding to your on-line invitation or by visiting Meeting Registration. No refunds for cancellations after Monday, February 10, 2020.
